Artifacts

Item Description Reference
Network diagrams Visual representation of the network layout, devices, and connections
Map overlay of WiFi service range Shows WiFi coverage areas and distribution of hubs/switches

Network

Item Description Reference
Bandwidth How much bandwidth needed at router, and access points, including minimum and maximum
Latency How fast the network needs to move data
Needed Hardware Switches, racks, power supplies

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Item Description Reference
Safety gloves Protect hands during installation and handling of equipment
Flashlight Provides visibility in low-light installation areas

Tools

Item Description Reference
Crimper Used to terminate Ethernet cables with RJ45 connectors
Wire stripper Removes insulation from cables without damaging conductors
Ladder Allows safe access to elevated mounting locations
Electro-static discharge (ESD) wrist strap Prevents static damage to sensitive networking equipment
Electric drill Used for drilling holes to mount routers or access points
Base plates Provide stable mounting surfaces for mounted devices
Screwdrivers Used to fasten and secure mounting hardware

Networking Hardware

Item Description Reference
Router Core device that routes traffic between networks
Access Points Provide wireless connectivity to client devices
Power over Ethernet cable Supplies power and data through a single Ethernet cable
Fiber optic cables Used for high-speed and long-distance data transmission, multi-mode SFP for ~500m radius networks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=550HWsV4-_Q
RJ45 connectors Connectors used to terminate Ethernet cables
UTP cable Unshielded twisted pair cable for Ethernet networking
Electrical socket Power source for networking equipment https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.D0Ufz
Electrical wire Used to deliver electrical power to equipment
Fiber Optic Splicer Used to fuse two ends of fibers
Fiber Optic Cleaver Used to cleanly cut the fibers
Fiber Optic Stripper Used to strip the insulation of a fiber optic wire

200m to cover theoretical distance + 50m slack should be allocated for each access point.
